A gentle bit of heat does the trick on red loctite. Go hard with a heat gun, or gently with a propane torch. Been there done that with scope ring screws….

I decided with this one to try a bit of cast and cant. All my previous stocks have been straight, so this is something new. 184015 I gave it 3/16 cast-off, and 1/8” cant or toe out. Works well...
