Picked up my final project from Alden Carr this morning, my long awaited ‘Remchester’ .358 Win. Metalwork was done by him, with the stock built and checkered by myself. Douglas premium barrel #3...

Thought I’d add this to the thread Wingman if that’s ok? May be useful data for someone. Found a good load for my 6x45 today. 18” barrel 1-10 twist. 70gr Ballistic Tip BM8208 Winchester case...

I personally believe you would see bugger all difference between the two. An unsuitable bullet in the 6.5 could even result in a longer trailing job than the .223 with the right bullet. This thread...

This has got to be the single best thing I’ve done to my JW15. It’s a great little rifle and quite accurate, but the 4 miles of overtravel in the trigger has always annoyed me. Just didn’t feel like...

It’s a piece of walnut grown in Marlborough. Apparently from a tree planted by the first European settlers of the area. Go ahead and do it, you only live once right?

77gr TMK, 80gr ELD-M or even 88gr if you have a 1-7” twist, or 80gr Targex. Load one of those and don’t look back!

Another one for the 6mm 223. Mate got this Tahr with a 70gr Ballistic Tip Nosler at 216 yards. Put it in the shoulder and game over. 229721

Time to get this back up to the top. Not mine, but a good mate smacked this tonight with a ‘lowly’ 6x45. 75gr V-Max through both shoulders. 228874

I heard of a guy that had to replace his Tikka .223 barrel after 14,000 rounds. Must have been the fact it was never cleaned that accounted for the terribly short barrel life…
