Sounds a grand idea! Would be great to put faces to a few names.

Nice work there, they will be good eaters! I shot a big bodied buck with the same colouration last year but he had far more pronounced spots. Really striking skin, I ended up tanning it. Came up...

Give it a try as a 280, mine produces 2835fps with 162gr ELD-X. Minimal real world gain in going to AI except brass longevity. Enjoy!

I wonder with the 22" barrel AR2217 might be better? AR2225 is mighty slow, goes well in a 24-26" barrel.

Go down to the local warehouse or Bunnings and get a coal bucket. Perfect shape and pretty cheap. Done a heap of heads in one.

Cactus huntaway and scabbard, great setup! Can fly camp for a couple of nights in summer and fit two boned out reds in it. Small enough to not be a PITA while stalking but big enough .

I'm running a boring old 16'' Tikka 308, wearing a Hardy can. Have used it over two different dogs so far and neither seem to be worried by it even tho its a quite big bang! I was careful while...

I wouldn't use Accubonds, you wont get them going quick enough out a 16" to expand. You will have runners! No need for fancy bullets at close range. I'd go BT/SST or standard softpoint. Will work...

Went through this process recently. Looked through a lot of different binoculars. Narrowed it down to the leica trinovids and the Zeiss conquest. To my eyes the the Zeiss had the better image. Alot...

Yeah have contemplated it but they are a hell of a price! if you run the numbers thru a ballistic calculator the 150gr (even a 2700fps) has loads of oomph out to about 400 odd meters. The drop isn't...
