Jaco Goosen liked post by Basenjiboy On thread : New range laws and shooting on unregistered ranges
I am one of the Shooting Range Inspectors trained and recognised by the Police (note that the majority of us are not Police, but involved with shooting disciplines). We do the inspection, and write...

Jaco Goosen liked post by bumblefoot On thread : Barrel break-in
I doubt that wearing out your barrel is the maker's point as you're only shooting a dozen or so times. Hardly enough to wear out a barrel. I just think that it won't do any harm to do it. And in the...

Just finished my setup today. Components are in the draws, press and powder thrower can be stored out of the way in about 5 seconds. https://youtube.com/shorts/EbVSmMPv-UU?feature=share

Gidday Folks After a lot of shagging around we are now shooting gongs at our local "NRA" range. Thanks to Cowboy06 and greghud we have 6 gongs from 450mm down to 100mm. We have mounds at...

Jaco Goosen liked post by gundoc On thread : Barrel thread
The Remington M700 thread is 1-1/6"x16 (1.062" x 16) which is the same nominal thread as the Bergara and some other actions but that does not meant they are interchangeable. Barrel thread length,...

Jaco Goosen liked post by Ultimitsu On thread : Zero MOA rail/base - why?
Delta Stryker has 100 MOA of dial, that is 50 on each side. Assuming perfect parallel action and barrel, you would had about 45~MOA left to dial after 100m zero. 45 MOA would take a 6.5 Creedmoor to...

Yes I did read somewhere that the tip of the bullet won’t really affect accuracy. But if your reloading and scratch the base of the bullet this will cause an inaccurate round.

I've got two M70 winchesters in 7x57 an older push feed, and a newer, limited run controlled feed, from 7-8 years ago, I run them with a 48 Gr, charge of 4381, and either a 162 gr a max, or ELD,...

Interlocks are great in every caliber Ive tried them in (.243, 7mm, .270 and .30). The worst that can be said is that their noses can get a bit battered in the mag. We used to say that the flat...

With .270 and 308 you reliably find them mushroomed under the skin on the far side of the deer. They don't lose their jacket like SST's mostly do.
