   The American has the funny 3/8"/13mm dovetail, the 457 has the standard euro 11mm rail. Rings may fit but likely be better to get new rings.

    Yep, same mounts will fit. I got a Varmint model and put a stupidly big scope on it. Shoots great and the trigger is so many light years ahead of the 452/455 design
