can't help with the why, but I would definitely suggest salamis, beir sticks, currys or some strongly flavoured sausages would mask the flavour. the salami or beir sticks probably be best bet, but...

Some meat and the waybit was cooked needs a good sauce, cutting fuild you might say if it's been cooked with no love. I do like a good sauce and will certainly be trying this blue cheese one soon....

I make mine with mushrooms, onion and just half a wedge of blue cheese. Not as strong but non-believers soon learn to like it.
