Yes this can be an issue for VX5's that are non illuminated. My non-illuminated VX5 has got the same thing happening to it. I just contacted NZAsia today to sort it out. I'm sure it's not my eyes...

Ive used the 162 Amax at distances from 10meters out to 602meters in my 18inch 7mm08 without any issues. As muzzle velocity was only 2530fps, it still works fine. Was using the 162eld-m as well....

I ran an 18inch tikka7mm08 for years, ran as a long actiom and threw the 162Amax @ 2530fps. Fallow and goats werent an issue out to 500meters. With longest shot being a 602meter goat. Helped...
