   Get a second hand tikka in 7-08 from an Aucklander, the only dirty thing it will have seen is a bit of latte spill on it. And the inside of the barrel will probably be immaculate.

    A 308 will kill almost anything that you would want to hunt. There reasonable cheap to run and are available in several makes and configurations.

    Thats the way I interperet it, I drive to where Im shooting and I drive back and lock up my firearms if Im by myself. If I am with others then they can go in while I wait in the vehicle.
