Impressive. I certainly can't shoot that far. I wasn't ranging any animals that far away and can't remember how far but probably no further than 400 yds. So you should be good to go.

The other option is that the shot was not actually fully front on and the projectile has gone between the front leg and ribcage and has not actually entered the chest cavity at all.

At 400 or 500 yards with a bit of wind, especially gusty cross wind I’ll take the 0.4moa load every time. Does wonders for your confidence too.
