RL17 or 2209 should see 2650ish with ease. I had 162's up to 2750fps from 22" but ended up backing off to 2650 for case life. Try 2209 first, if your not getting the accuracy or speed you need next...

I have always thought the .223 was a rat gun - well until I shot 50 odd goats & half a dozen pigs with a mates 223 loaded with 70gr Berger VLD's. Wow do these bullets perform well on this size game -...

Until you have to reload the Blaser is very quiet. You can keep one up the spout with the bolt decocked safely then simply push the quiet thumb piece forward on the bolt when you are ready to go.

A 178gr Amax would even be a decent bet if the 208's didn't stabilise. Buck the wind & gave a shitload more downrange thumb than any 125's!

Nobody mentioned make sure you get the adjustment turret on the right side! Had a brain fart one day mounting a scope & it took a while to figure out why it looked sooooo weird. Dipshit had the...

Thanks guy's for all the information. Sounds like $600 would be a fair asking price based on the above.

That looks awfully familiar - Saw something like that many years ago in the Hunting & Fishing store in Taupo.

Stug, It's pretty cool taking classic calibres for a hunt. I have fond memories of a Mauser 9.3x62 factory sporter that I shot a lot of game with open sights. Even took out my Ruger RSM in 375HH for...
