52 grains is case capacity to top of neck, so 46 should be the practical limit. If you must have more speed or powder capacity a 3006 reamer is the answer, after all the 308 is just a 3006 that didnt...

At $60 its not a huge investment, I have two old hammerguns with internal pitting both shoot fine, it has no effect on pattern shape. If it was me Id buy it.

The smk were crap in my rifle, ok at 50 m gone all over the place by 200, so I doubt the tmk will be different. Heaviest I can spin properly are 64 grain winchester, might be interested in swapsies...
