   Was a period where the quality of the barrels, especially the .260s, was hit and miss and a few just would not shoot. Sounds like the issue has been resolved but I think the odd dud still turns up....

    Yes if you have a 7mm RM you like then I can't see any point in the 308 or 30-06. 22rf, Shotgun make sense. A 223 is a good choice for a volume shooter, easy on the body, accurate and cheap. 7mm...
