You guys are more helpful than you’ll ever know. I despise it and it’s all a scam but in the states there are laws…on top of laws…but you can always find the answer, eventually. Here it seems like...

I actually thought it was 2500kg but yes. There is no law (unless very recently instated) in NZ that limits unbraked to 750 kg......it is 2000kg. Most vehicle manufacturers recommended unbraked...

I asked local mechanic how do boat trailers without brakes get certified in the first place when they clearly are going to be above 750kg when the boats on them. His answer was that when they are...

MB liked post by Shearer On thread : Handheld Thermal for the Bush
I have used mine in the bush quite a bit (25mm lens/640 sensor). Bloody effective. I stalk just as I normally would but every now and then scan with the thermal, just as I would with binos. Amazing...

Great topic for a thread. I'm also very interested in this and what members experience has been when used in this way within the bush. Beyond the field–of–view suitability, I have questions such as;...

So how do you hunt thick bush with them?do you sit and scan a hillside when open enough or use as a type of binocular while sneaking along?would need to be fairly open understory I would have thought?

Better that you damaged it actually hunting and not treating it poorly when not in use. I'm always quite pleased when I wear something out doing exactly what it's intended for. Doing my very best...

Salmon fishery/farm at Anatoki has signs to the effect that if you catch and release, you will be charged for funeral cost per fish. Too bloody right !

Go for both, in the scheme of things with boats it's not a lot of money to mount a fixed VHF and have a portable one as a back up. I do a portable radio check with the handheld while I'm out on the...
