I used to hate the trad canvas gaiters with wire etc... then I started using the neoprene type gaiters and think they are great.... And if you hate gaiters in the dark you may feel the same about...

Not sure about opossums, but if you're after possums here in NZ, then as above Victor's are the best, Dukes are pretty good too. Most of the other brands are cheap knock offs.
