I'm shooting the ELD-M 208 doing 2770 at just over mag length in Tikka. With a long mag you'll be able to get a little more powder in and get a little extra speed if you wanted to. Knocks over goats...

I just clamp a piece of ply on bench to load bipod and use a rear bag for load development. When zeroing I do it prone as that's majority of my shooting.

Used to run the 240 gr in my Rossi 44 mag, could hit turkeys easy at 100 yards so wouldn't be an issue on deer.
