Depending if the boys are mechanically inclined, fixing up an older bike could also be a fun family project. I got a mudbug off here several years ago, and was happily surprised by how cheap parts...

I respect your views as a professional hunter. You know what you are talking about. You’ve raised some good points here. From what I can gather the deer moved in from an adjoining station and huge...

Have tried various map apps on iPhone, the best so far are NZ Topo50 followed by iHike. Can be discrepancies of up to 20degrees compass bearing if you don’t calibrate phone/compass before taking...

This. Took me a long time to quit carrying my jeepers (64s) in favour of my phone as part of carried weight reduction, given phone is in pack anyhow. Maps are way better as is battery life on...

Front sight is still clear to me but back sight is a blur. I open out my rear sights with a chainsaw file and use them like an aperture. Works.

Here's some targets I shot with my Swiss K31. My eyes are older than most forum members. I use glasses for reading but nothing (well plain safety glasses) when shooting with irons, diopter or scopes....

I use my prescription glasses with my Red Dots no problem. I can’t use iron sights either U notch or aperture anymore no matter what I try ( glasses on or off ) PS - I’m 53 years old .
