Have owned both. No longer own the Browning but have multiple Tikkas. The Browning is a nice rifle with a nice positive action. My biggest dislike was the trigger. They are just not that nice once...

I sold my faithful old diesel-Courier, week before last, to buy a people-mover to address our needs. Bought a tidy 2nd-gen Honda Stream, with 17" factory-mags ( 205/55/17 ). Phoned to cancel ute...

The first rifle I bought myself was a 25-06 about 20yrs back. Back then most 25-06 factory ammo outperformed 243 ammo. The rifle I took the most game with from doves, a lot of springbuck, range of...

I occasionally still print off map of the area I need and can borrow an InReach from SAR if needed but seldom bother as its just another thing to carry.

I still laminate a map double sided with permit and carry compass. Mind you have never been asked for permit. Sent from my SM-J530Y using Tapatalk

A mate made a living using a his 25-06 in the deer recovery days, flat shooting for longer ranges for those days.

I used to be map & compass until 2 years ago- now PLB & NZTOPO 50. As Micky says, the map & compass should be #1 and I should go back to that with NZTOPO50 as a backup to check the positioning on the...
