Maybe a smaller chamber in the fast twist (so more pressure, therefore higher velocity). Probably easy enough to check by dropping a case fired in the Remmy into the X-bolt.

It looks like you are using a suppressor in which case the sooting is a normal by-product caused by a higher residual bore pressure after the shot has left the barrel and is nothing to be concerned...
