As a long time horseman I'd recommend doing at least a dozen rides locally in the month before you go, the hour per visit to the stables it would take over that time would reward you handsomely.

That’ll likely be an expectation from guiding yanks who’ll often tip the guiding staff those sundry items as gratuity.

No it didn't go as far as that, but there was an official hunting inspector in camp. However, I have been contacted by several viewers who basically had the same experience with Kyrgyzstan. For...

Yeah we never really did. What it did do was sort of bring everything up into the light as it were, with a bit more safety than the old ways and no arcane drilling out flash holes or weirdities like...

I've shot a heap of roos with the 88gr ELD-M's from my 223ai now. Generally happy with them. Though I have had some slow kills. And some bullets not exit from high chest shots (so less than 6" of...

I know you are talking 85 plus grains but my experience is that the Targex 80 grn is a harder bullet than the 80 grn ELDM, but still kills well. I would imagine (but don't know) that they would hold...

Do you reload or do you shoot factory stuff only? If you reload ,Go from 178eldx to 178 eldm. Or 170 gr flatnose or 180 round nose. If factory , go down in weight , as recommended above from 150...

Yeah, it's a bit of an interesting question. 255gr will usually go straight through unless you hit something bloody solid - the 170gr Sub-X has a serious amount of penetrating ooomph (I shot one...
