I used to run 178 amaxes in "Tim" my 30-06 Terminator Imp max, they were devastating at high speed but not so sure once they lost their custo, might nto be the best choice for a short barrel bush gun...

Any 150 to 180gr, 308 bullet, including the 178 eldx, will be completely fine. Shot placement is everything.

7mm08 is more than capable. Good factory choices150 grain eldx the Norma tip strike. And some good glass. Ps. 270's are awesome but you have all you need.

As long as you know ruffly on the map where you are then not a problem especially with the headlamps we use now days if you're in very steep bluff county turn your headlamps up to fill power it like...
