    Man....I have finally admitted at 52 that four power is marginal for my eyes much past two hundy now..ok on a big red,bit too hard on anything smaller to place shots properly.

    Leave it as long as you can. If you find your doing lots of tight bush hunting,buy a .308 or 7.62x39mm and cut THAT rifle down short.best of both worlds then.

    It's not rocket science,just use round/half round file and CAREFULLY remove material till it nearly fits then use fine sand paper to smooth it out... Or do as above has suggested.
