Greetings, I had spotted the low BC and the 170 grain weight but didn't twig it was the .270 club (or projectile take your pick). I often wondered how many people had used them. Grandpamac.

True, projectiles are falling from the moment they leave the muzzle, but they do rise in relation to line of sight. I think anyone with a passing relationship with ballistics understands this....

Good advice above. Just to add my experience. They seem to come out in to clearings later in the morning than deer, when the sun is well up. I often get going too early for goats and catch up with...

Steep and bluffy, rocky areas. Will beds mid morning and sometimes arvo, seem to feed mid day fairly often. Listen for them, will hear them bleating if you get a bit of elevation. This time of year...

I think that's just big subs in general I shot 8 wild sheep yesterday ( culling job ) with 90 grain XTP subs in my Contender 30-30. Most showed no effects and just walked away, slowed down, sat...

As pommy says, go for headshots. I still use subsonics for goats and deer up close, but from my 308. 9 moa up on the scope from my 100yd full power gives me a 50 yd zero with subsonics, and they make...

Whatever you can get that is cheap. They are indeed all much of a muchness and you won't be able to tell the difference between a Hornady, a Speer, a Nosler, or a Sierra.
