I am pretty plain. I don't have a large selection and have a genuine use for the calibers I have. But if I had to chose only one cartridge to do everything it would be the humble .223 I have...

Over my years of hunting I have collected a small range of hunting rifles chambered for cartridges suited to the type of hunting I do. It has not been by conscious choice but I seem to have ended up...

Fair enough, then find a Rossi 44 magum. Old school style, straight wall case. Happy to use and abuse because its not an old collectable classic. I personally would go for a 20 inch barrel version.

I love my 358win in Sav 99 but with full power loads it would not be my first choice as a short range quick fire rifle, just too much recoil. For that the 243 is much nicer to use. Or look at the...

Primary use is fallow and goats 100-300 yards with the possibility of the odd red deer sub 200 yards thats basically what I use my 243 for with basic winchester softpoint flatbase 80gr projectiles...

Greetings Kelton, Based on some of the stuff I have read you Model 7 may have a ! in 9" twist so you may want to measure it to be sure. Remington changed the twist of their .244 Rem from 1 in 12" to...

Goats and fallow suggest you want to stay with the softer bullets.. The SST is softish and they perform well. the eldx and the 100gf interlocks i would suggest are a bit stout for these...

Can’t go wrong with the 100gr Hornady. One load to kill anything at any reasonable distance. That’s what Dave McClunie used to kill all his Wapiti and many bull Tahr with.

I've had success with both the 80gr Speer Hot-Cor and the 100gr Hornady BTSP, accurate in all my 243's and effective in killing. Even better, there is negligible difference in POI between the two...

I to find the lasers pretty hopeless. In both the gun shops I've worked in we've used a collimator and had pretty good results. At home I typically just look down the bore and line it up with...

100 grain Hornady, either BTSP or Flat base. I've shot hundreds (at least a couple of hundred) of deer with them. They just work. At the moment I'm using 87 grain Hornady for smaller stuff, Sika,...

Way to much time is spent on CPR. From a first response point of view, a small percentage of call outs are CPR events. But a large portion of first aid refresher courses are taken up with CPR. Once...
