and remember that the dog needs to know what it is doing is wrong first and you are simply giving it a reminder there are many dogs wrecked by electric collars

It always cracks me up when people say get a "xxx" calibre because it's short action and therefore better than a 270/30-06 etc. then suggest to get a tikka :)

Yep the t3x is heavier than the t3. A competent gunsmith can still sort out the t3x trigger down to a nice weight and pull feeling. And yes a timney or bixandandy are a good alternative
