    243, 7mm08 or 308. Most of the modern rifles are pretty capable really, but I would personally shy away from the cheaper Remingtons (770 783) and the savage axis. I personally feel the best value...

    As this fella said. Try a heap out and find which naturally fits you best. There will be one that you pick up that just feels right, ... and you won't want to hand it back.

    With the exception of squid I have never caught a fish on any of those and have tried many many times with all but Trevally And BTW Clams are Cockles and we sell our excess bait squid to silly...

    Just to add to the 6's. I find that it only takes one pellet to kill a quail. i dont get a lot of shot to shit birds Also run very open chokes usually skeet and skeet 1. Or Improved Cylinder....
