120 - far under what it should have (0 km travelled over lockdown didn't help that though to be fair). It's the result of too many teething issues that I ended up having to fix myself. As I said,...

mikee liked post by RUMPY On thread : Finally a redskin
Had a mid afternoon knock off from work so grabbed my gear and rifle and went out to a local block. Arrived just after 3.30 and headed up the track which climbs fairly steeply in places. Once into a...

No. You have to get your head around the fact that the Department of Conservation wants all the animals gone, eradicated. Shooting, arrows, poison, they don't care. Any rules pertaining to hunting...

Yes there is a small risk. See bellow another snip from the instructions. This is what we have found works best for our products. During shooting, condensation is created inside the...

mikee liked post by Dama dama On thread : dpt suppressors
All the suppressors that I've heard of blowing up were lightweight ones on short barrels (15" or less) and/or high volume shooting. I know a few professionals and they all use stainless or stainless...

mikee liked post by BRADS On thread : The $3000 gong gun
Yeah I understand that but also believe it's more sensible than picking 6.5 prc which will eat itself in well under a 1000 rounds on gongs, not to mention the component shortage. Sent from my...

mikee liked post by tikka On thread : 308 Twist rates v projectile weights ?
Running 30cal subsonics on body shot deer your better off with the purpose built subsonic projectile like Lehigh or Maker bullet. Unfortunately reloading is the road you can go in NZ as I don’t know...

One tip - yanking frantically on the trigger (instead of the guard lever) does not open the action, no matter how many times you do it...thankfully I learnt this playing at home and not while hunting!

Get the short one then, the faster twist is more versatile anyway.

Makes it an all rounder. A 162 amax doing 2500-2600 from a short 708 is lethal up close and out to 500~ depending on the shooter. A little barnes or soft point will go faster up close but be out of...
