Back in the day when my rifle club had a supply of milsurp ammo for visitors the Singaporean ammo was reasonable along with MEN. Would they give good results in your rifle - who knows? I don't know...

Shooters MOA is 1 inch at 100 yards. True MOA is 1.047 inches at 100 yards. It makes bugger all difference out to 600 or so but when you get out past 1000 it does.

mimms liked post by gundoc On thread : Barrel lining/ sleeving.
Sleeving was a common enough practice in NZ, starting in the 1920's with English tubes by A G Parker (Parkerifling) but after WW2 the demand had dropped off because the smokeless ammunition had been...

I'm with Tussock. We've come a long way (?) since 1967 when I left my parent's home in an Auckland suburb on a Friday afternoon to go hunting throughout the South Island. Wearing a large backpack and...

mimms liked post by Hunter_Nick On thread : Going ‘old school’
I just put a 2.5-8 on my ‘new to me’ 308, and at 8x I shot groups equal to and better than the groups I shot with the 4-20 I had on the heavyweight 5R .308. The new rifle was harder to shoot as its...

mimms liked post by GWH On thread : Varmint rifle for about that 350m max range?
Would be a good combo, 350m isnt really a hard task. I had my little 18" barreled model 7 223 at the range today, shooting it while the big guns cooled. I hadnt used it for a while and have just...
