I think if I was to brew coffee on the hill, I would go to the paper filter method, as it is compact and you dont get too much heat loss. My main issue with the aero press when I looked at them...

I use a Kaffelogic - a guy in port chalmers makes them, like a commercial version of the modified popcorn maker. Roasts 100g in 10 mins.

I bought an aeropress but wasn't impressed at all, and ended up giving it away. I prefer a normal coffee plunger. I wouldn't mind giving one of those Moka pots a try though.

aeropress, makes most of my coffee at home as well. but I'm the guy who uses cold water with his instant coffee so I'm obviously not the most fussy of addict

136972 Not the greatest pic, but thats as it sits as of a few minutes ago. Its a 1640 with the longer barrel rather than the shorter 1600, probably not quite bush hobbit worthy - too long. Have...

A few people have a fair idea that Im rather partial to Husqvarna rifles, and about 18 months ago a local asked me if I was interested in buying a Husky 1600 in 270. But he told me it had a buggered...

I've done the odd cruisy camping trip with a stovetop style espresso maker, this sort of thing: https://i.etsystatic.com/7245813/r/il/2febe2/1725877314/il_570xN.1725877314_54lw.jpg But usually...

I second the AeroPress. The aeropress is possibly the best travel coffee apparatus available, it self cleans as the piston wipes the cylinder, just remove the strainer and push the puck out, done.
