I shoot yearlings because they are generally best eating and at this time of year hinds have fawns to look after that will be next years yearling and so on. There will never be management as such...

It varies slightly every year but generally more female fawns than male. On average it is probably more like 60/40 in favour of females.

Guys I would not angst too much about taking a hind with a fawn after mid to late February as the fawn would very likely survive without mum as by then the have learned to graze and know what water...

75 percent? that's way to high.Glass will not make any difference in the bush.we don't all hunt the tops and glass clearings so I think you could spend less than 75% and still call yourself a hunter.

Yeah, pukes are a bit of a menace. At least they are native. The bird I hate with a passion is the Aus Magpie, cant stand the nasty fcukers.
