I use topo maps I sourced for free in my 60csx, have a look on the net they shouldn't be too hard to find for the newer units.

I wouldn't stay anywhere for 2 weeks solid. Plan a route and stay along the way. Main ranges make for easy travel over decent distances and the further you get from the hut the better the hunting...
