Not likely to move willingly from here. Sika, reds, Rusa, Fallow and good upland shooting all within 2 hours of home. The worst hospital in the country, but Vegas and Chlamydia city close if...

Central to what I love doing but not isolated. I like the climate. I like the aspect with the housing on the hill. Not as cold as Fairlie. Hospital in Timaru. Housing relatively affordable. Will...

This is an American list though. In NZ the .30/6 would not be in the top ten at all. What is significant as well, is the numbers of people who used each cartridge - here in Dunedin Chaz Forsyth...

I like that presentation. Interesting the 7mm08 is so popular over there. I thought it was just a NZ thing. The newer cartridges of course havent had a chance to develop a big following yet.

Im a fairly big fan of Jims channel Backfire. He makes a good vid and his knowledge base is really broad. Quite a few youtubers are really onto it but their vids are too deadpan. Especially like...

Based on ammo sales, I'd say 270 is a solid 5th or 6th behind 223, 308, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm08 and maybe 6.5 PRC here nowadays... And I know for a fact it's not because the 270 guys miss any less and...

Here's the list for people who don't want to hear Jim waffle on for 17minutes. What the list really says is, despite having decades worth of a head start Hornady knows how to develop, market, and...

    Ive had a couple 6.5x55's over the years. Currently have a Tikka. Pretty much ~46gr AR2209, and a 147gr or 140gr ELD-M, for ~2700fps. 20" barrel.

Can't remember load but Vit N560 is the powder they have two loads listed one for mil surplus and one for modern. It really does push the old 6.5x55 ahead of 6.5CM.

Would think 2209 is too slow for a 308, maybe a 24 inch barrel would change that
