I get good speed out of the 162 eldm with h414. 2750 out of a 18.5 barrel 42.7 gr Norma brass. Is a bit temp sensitive though. Gunna have a play with rl16 and. The 150 eldx. The 162 eldm is an...

Last weekends dive turned it on. Started slow at motiti chasing snapper with only small fullas coming in on both kina and fish burley. Wind died off so decided to shoot out wider despite the swell....

This is exactly what I have done with mine. Bipods are a pita to shoot well with lightweight rifles anyway. Surprising how well I can shoot out to 400ish even just with a 6 power

Yeah man. They are pretty mean. You feel like a Nancy at first but that quickly fades when you notice how good they are. Saves the knees big time, especially on the downhill

Pretty heavy for what it is/size of the shelter. Pretty cool to be able to use it on the ground as well but then you do lose that flexibility by having to take the right under insulation

Suitability for steeling depends on the knife steel. Softer steels are fine, harder modern steels you will just ruin the edge by steeling. For the modern steels use either a strop or...

With the proliferation of quality lightweight tripods, I've been contemplating setting up a tripod for shooting in tussock country. A Sirui CF model is only about 200g heavier than my atlas and can...

True 2 power is about perfect in the thick shit too imo. Definatley better than the 3.5 (which is closer to 3.8 in actuality if I remember correctly). Are you confused yet man? Haha

Yeah 100% the 2-10 isn't bad weight or size wise. There are few better performing scopes weight wise than the vx3s, they fit the lightweight role very well
