    1 centerfire to do it all? 308. Decent hunting ammo is cheap as through belmont, you can get soft shooting loads, subs, big longs, whatever. Every brand of rifle chambers for it. etc etc.

    Yeah the howa stainless is less stainless than other stainless too, has a fairly aggressive BB type finish that like to develop spots. 0000 and a bit of crc/wd40 will get any surface spotting gone...

    Yeah all things equal I still prefer fresh to frozen too. But defo find texture better after time for the fish to set up. Easier to fillet too. Freezing definately still effects the flavour, But...

    Fresh fish is a bit of a misanoma. Most fish are better after a short aging period, frozen fish is the same. Way better texture and less watery. Frozen quality is greatly improved by vac packing....
