I did like my 2007 D22 Navara, 3.0L version with the ZD30. One of the most capable factory setups I've had offroad, it just couldn't pass anything it was totally gutless.

You've just nailed the main problem with the new ranger. The V6 option only comes in at the premium end, Ford man reckons he can't get one in the poverty pack. If you are running heavily loaded, or...

Again, with an unloaded vehicle on standard suspension on smooth highway, yep awesome ride. Load the thing up and take it out the west coast on the back roads and you can't count the number of times...

Yep, he mostly does cruisers with some other mumble brand thrown in. The issue isn't anything directly with the Ranger or Hilux - it's simply to get them to the level that they are happy the things...

It's funny, my cousin is in a light vehicle 2nd tier assembly shop (think cab chassis conversions to minespec) out WA - they don't touch Rangers or Hilux's now even if the customer tries to insist. ...

My vote such as it is, the current Rangers on the new platform are a bit of a pig poke so far, some are having a great run some are finding a lot of electronic and weird issues as with every new...

Amen to that, I find the hilux's pigs of things for in cab comfort. The back seat is an avoid at all costs if possible sort of deal too... Unsure why they hold their value so well, as we've had...

Just had a look around at 4x4 vans - only listed option is the VW but it's AWD (4-Motion) not "4x4". Slim pickings it seems, I knew a few forestry boys who used to swear by the old Toyotas and Mitsi...

I saw that, it's not listed on the site yet. But it is "AWD" which is not "4x4" as we know it. No clearance under the front or rear bumpers for the first issue. Similar to the VW offering in that...

Pads, calipers and discs one unit? Ahhh, the one I had to fix wasn't... Calipers were fine - discs and pads were both shot as one side had been chewed out due to a bit of steel FOD getting caught...
