I caught a 44lb Salmon on marshmallows in ship creek Alaska. Caught most of the king salmon on marshmallows, probably some springs too.

Bit later than Zulu wars,they had coiled brass cases. Looks like a regular Kynoch 577-450 round,drawn brass case. I don't know when Kynoch stopped loading that caliber but it was into the 1950s

Tidy but well used 1873 produced in 1874. Retailed by Wikinson & Son Pall Mall London,the Son went on to Swords and Razor blade production.
