I'm kinda with peril on this except I'd go a 300 blackout 16" barrel Ruger ranch like I have. Zero kick good knockdown with the 308 sized Pill and a surpressor and you have a rifle for now as a...

Which ever you go for put a can on it I think the 7-08 is the better option if you don't reload. This is the way I went with my son after starting out with a .223. Sent from my SM-G900I using...

If you want a .270, check out the one I put up on the forum tonight, best value for money in NZ right now, by a long way.

Where are you from Oraki? If I could get it to you conveniently or hook up with you I've got a nice little suppressed 243 he could try to see what he thinks of it. Its not for sale, but it would give...

Same as Tahr suggested from me, I've got a couple of 7.62x39's he can try out. Short barrel suppressed or standard.

I reckon with a suppressor on, all of the above calibres (other than .338 Edge) would feel the same recoil-wise, and none of them would be an issue even for the recoil shy. I'm a pussy when it comes...

Are you really going to be shooting to 400m? A nice light and hand rifle in 7.62x39. Plenty of single shot break actions around for safe carry, or go a CZ in a bolt action. Light on recoil and...

Unless you plan to get into reloading I'd probably leave the 6.5's, if you intend to start they would be great. As said above, any 6.9x64, 7mm, 30 cal supressed if you wish will get the job done....
