    Ithaca, older 870 and wingmasters, 1300 Winchesters, and the BPS are all good quality and deseriable working shotguns, I am not a fan of many of the newer ones.

    BPS Carry it with a cartridge in the lifter and the fore end half way back. Every one can see it is not loaded ( from the fore end position ) and all you need to do is push the slide fully...
