Hugh Bradley (Stager Sport - Gunmakers NZ) is making excellent barrels in stainless and chrome-moly. He has make some for me recently (I gave up waiting for my Vulcan order) and I am delighted with...

Don't shoot animals purely to give away as dog Tucker, I reckon you are better off using the camera more than the rifle and just taking anything that's special or if you really need some meat.

There is no choice between WARO or 1080 to control deer. That's a false dichotomy. 1080 is not used to control deer. WARO is private individuals profiting off a publicly owned resource, with the...

A system of more managed WARO to achieve positive outcomes for each group (recreational hunters, WARO operators and conservation) could be implemented but there's no interest in it from the parties...

After a few years of taking a break from hunting, I decided to seize an opportunity to get back into the hills again and complete something I unknowingly started about 25 years ago. You see,...

You obviously didn't do any hunting in the 80's. The WARO people I know (not many) are mostly doing rabbits, geese and pigs from choppers rather than deer the last couple of years, but this year...

You only need 5 deer an hour to turn a profit no matter what machine you use at $7 per kilo. With average pay weight at 45kg. 45-50kg would be an average weight throughout a season on the coast and...

Have I read this wrong? You have a standard 260 rem @2960fps with 143 weight projectiles out of a 22" barrel? Even with a throat modification that is extreme. Sent from my SM-G935F using...

From my experience the ABs go best at full speed (ie >3000fps MV) even at close range. I think the BTs would be the go at 2860.

I think it'll be a sad day when a law abiding FAL holder can't take their rifle and shoot some targets responsibly on public land. I've shot there before a dozen or so times over the years and often...
