Good to see the gear working well 7/10ths. A quick comment - Brian and I into planning of new generation lights. These will not be under Maxtoch name or anything to do with them. Looking into NZ...

Definitely go back for the head, trophy or not it's your first and a pretty nice even head at that, if he's hard underneath you could strip the velvet and stain the antlers easily enough. If you'd...

I’ve got a 260 carbonlight, with optilocks, 3.5-10 x 40 vx3 and DPT it’s about 7lb. Light as fu*k and balances well. Shot a few deer with it now and I like the caliber.

Sako (no so light) carbon light 7mmRM VX5HD with 22in barrel. Sako understates the weight of these rifles. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200113/dc8c653220b9088f677314b673c24f23.jpg ...

You obviously know it well, then? Yeah, I'm constantly surprised by the numbers in there for somewhere so close to town. I can only assume the climb up puts a lot of lazy buggers off.

Good stag for a very heavily hunted spot. It always seems to produce the goods however

So I got a message from some mates on Friday night. Wanna come on a quick overnighter tomorrow? I was surprised when the wife encouraged me to say yes as I hadn't planned to be away this weekend, but...

Have heard a couple of reports (one from a farmer and one from doc) of reasonable animal recovery and a couple of good heads floating about. Fingers crossed!

Given the very light frame and narrow sectional density of a chamois, I'd be using a more frangible bullet than an AB. I tried all sorts of bullets in my 257 Ackley (similar speed to your 25/06) and...

Hornady used to put the load data on the box for their match loads, why not try that? H4350 is AR2209 sold and repackaged by Hogdons 127690

Just look at how this Spiker shot last night was lifted off his feet and thrown into the trees. 2506 AI hit him like an uppercut from Mike Tyson. You don't get that with a 260 or creedmore...
