I worked/tramped/hunted for 40 years in Auckland's Waitakere Ranges (60,000 acres of dense jungle) and many times came across (just in time!) square vertical shafts of about 7-800 mm diameter, and...

Technically not even considered a near hit as no objects or moving parts were involved, but more of an "accident" if you refer to NZ's HSWA 2015 definitions. ;)

Inspired by 57jL post about his near death experience, I too had a close call in March this year with a hunting accident (call it a navigational slip-up if you like) that I thought I should share. ...

Hunting to me is about the environment I'm in. I love to roam with only a pack & rifle, in our bushlands and Mountain Ranges, keeping alive the old school "man alone' protocols and etiquettes. The...

If that genny has previously sat around a bit it may well have old fuel-turned to gum in the carb jets, making the engine run lean . a lean engine will surge a bit then give up long before giving you...

If it is already struggling at 50%, which would be 1200w, then doing the on-off trick to pre warm the elements is very unlikely to work for the 100%. The hunting and surging at 50% informs what...

I stuffed my inverter gen a year ago but the shop fixed it for me I was told I need to double up the req watt for loading up. E.g. 2.4KW heater, you need a 5kw inverter to be on the safe side.

A 2400w heater off a 3k geny will probably struggle due to the draw. 3 k is peak. If its a variable heater try turning down temp and see if it works. Sent from my SM-N970F using Tapatalk
