First up, dont FFS me. Not everyone is a super duper hunter/shot like you. Youngsters, newbies, older frail people are quite difficult to get on to an animal. A tripod that adjusts to the ground at...

Rock river arms hunter liked post by 300wsm for life On thread : What happens to spikers in the Roar?
Take a hind or two. They will be better eating than the spikers. Testosterone levels go up in them as well, can have an effect on the meat.

Rock river arms hunter liked post by woods223 On thread : Whats your Roar 2024 plans, and goals?
I hunt deer all year round. The roar/bugle is nothing special to me these days though I wouldn't mind going into Fiordland one more time before the body packs up. Been there, done that. I tend to...

Maybe... but just maybe the fact that the 7prc has been around for 2 years (?) contributes towards it not being more widely adopted. We will know in a few years whether its an actual lemon. ...

Another vote for the wee .308 Bergara, short but still weighty enough to soak up some of that recoil. For what it is mines silly accurate with the Speer 165gr BTSP.

For a really short barrel I would go with a heavy, and potentially softer bullet. More efficient under the circumstances.
