My guess is it’s a case length issue. Based on the fact that the OP said some of the cases were longer than 44.7 which is book max. The Lee case trimmer guide should trim them down to around 44.4mm...

I guess what all of this shows is that hunters who can kill animals with a 270win are more skillful than those that kill animals with superior cartridges.:D

This Saturday I helped my mate get his first deer. 230m with a strong wind - maybe 30- 40kmph. Having a capped scope on the .270 I put a photo up of earlier, I told him to give it a good foot to the...

If it's a simple duplex you can use the thick part of the cross hair as a drop mark. You just have to find out what range works, but BDC reticles really are your friends.

I'm in same boat as RUMPY eyesight is not as good as it used to be but can't afford to upgrade from 3x9 on both rifles. Ah well just have to get closer.

I picked up one these scopes off the forum to go on my 223 and I'm really happy with it. Quick sight in then shooting rabbits at 160m no prob. Need another range day to test out the bdc.

Yes, just a diagram for reference. Some people say that you don't need a high magnification and that may be true, but I like it in some circumstances. 16x certainly made shooting those 1cm...

I'm not sure I'm understanding the assignment here in terms of demonstrating projectile performance. 140m, 69 gr targex. But it's confidence inspiringly accurate. 260954 260955
