If you want the best info from people who are devoted to developing and using small cartridges like the hornet, go to saubier.com. I'm using Lil' Gun, Rem brass, Win SPP, and Sierra 40gn HP. Seems...

It is clear that people have not tried possum or have prepared it very badly. If it is prepared properly, it is just like veal. It has a very mild flavour that is improved with cranberry sauce.

If you have kids, the drawing chalk they play with may do the trick if it is powdered. Chalks are inert and there are a variety of colours.

I used to avoid carrying too much food by taking a trap and setting it outside the tent. The possum would set off the trap in the night, I would wake up, and kill the possum. In the morning, I would...

duckdog liked post by rupert On thread : Ccibr4 vs 400
The BR4 is a thicker cup than 400 primers. I don't use the 400 in anything higher pressure than the 22 Hornet. I've had a few problems with higher pressure cartridges and the 400s, e.g., 223Rem, the...

The Nikon field scope is excellent and has a reasonable price. 80mm is rather heavy to be humping over the mountains.

Haven't used the 22-250 for a while but I used to snipe rabbits in the dry Central Otago country up to 350 yards, using a 6-24x40 scope. It is a brilliant cartridge that deserves an accurate rig.
