I always look under overhangs and pungas, anywhere with a bit of shelter from rain. I always figure the deer will be doing what anything with a brain would do and get under cover stay dry and warm

Yeah. In BC however you need to draw a bull tag to tag a mature bull, even as a resident you can only shoot spike or 2 point bulls and cows. I can get a Moose tag for under 100 bucks for the area...

Yup I come from coal mining and there is heaps of different gases you can get. Usually stone drives not so bad but decomposing wood and timber etc can produce some and at the least you could have...
