i have a marlin 44 mag and a marlin 30 30. both work well. i wouldnt touch a henry as they are pot metal not steel

.30/30 is pretty useful out to at least 150 metres, way better than any pistol caliber. The .50-110 WCF was probably the best of the traditional lever action rounds in its day but well overshadowed...
