For what it's worth. I got a second hand old macpac cascade 90 litre for 70 bucks. And 75 bucks to get it fixed. Used it on a trip that was a 4 day fly camp and it worked mint. Always an option

Barnaul was great back in the good old days as you never worried about the brass. It's cheap too. Otherwise Belmont black is good

It's not all doom and gloom. Just have to spend the time and money to find good spots. I have found heaps and usually see deer. Can always move out of Auckland.

Mate. I have to drive 3.5 hours minimum to get to my spots and I am yet to shoot a deer. Fallow 5 minutes from home would be a dream
