Good topic thanks. I nearly always have a bit of cord in my pocket. You just never know when you'll have the opportunity to use it. And naturally I am seldom without a pocketknife. I take...

I'm somewhat sympathetic to that, but... I agree. I moved my family to Northland for the fishing and diving opportunities despite it being a bad career move (more to life than working!?). My...

I farmed in the area for 20 years. The odd other contact through friends and mutual sharing. I have never door knocked or directly asked for access. Its just not me. Works for others and that's...

Might be there as well getting a valuation on my Schmeisser, as I’m sick of calling the 0800 number to get it listed.

If you are going to be shooting 300m max, just get a 200m zero, or 2 inches high @ 100 That will cover you for hunting. It will be spot on @ 50 & 200, slightly high @ 100 and slightly low @ 300

Gidday - I shoot at 300M on the range 4 or so times a year, greater distances (max 600 yards) less often. We also host a "Deerstalkers shoot" once a year and the results of their 300M shooting at a...

Every time I see one of these it reminds me of "No Country for Old Men" (the move). Lewellyn goes out shooting Pronghorn and ends up with a shit ton of Mexican drug money and a lot of trouble.

I like the heavier 30 cal projectiles and I was offered the RUM at a good price; finding a Stug Stock for it sealed the deal!

I had both for a while but preferred the shorter barrel of the .284. Same projectile, just a bit slower. Mines doing 2750 ft/sec but is accurate as and has killed a tonne of animals. I guess I...

Holes, ring barking and hammer water systems. Personally we body shoot everything, main reason is the bullet stops right there.

Clean head and torso shots and passing on bum shots. Good work. They eat bark of trees, can even ring bark them and kill them completely. In winters if snow is high they'll also reach to eat...
