Head to the Quailburn campsite/old woolshed thing, walk up through the trees and up onto the tussock and you're on the tops of the true left of the Ahururi, this way you have altitude already and can...

Sounds like them, delivered a rifle to me when I was living in Culverden, it got delivered to some rural address down near Oamaru somewhere, also lost my Sako when it was on its way back from Ken...
