I just use a belt with a molle pouch on. I'm that guy in the shorts and T-shirt, wearing normal sunglasses and cap etc rather than the traditional setup.

I've had a few different ones, my main one now is an A-Tec Optima There's an A-Tec for sale on here at the moment that would be an awesome buy is you have a larger chambering.

Pretty sure any Police station that has an Arms Officer will dispose of the ammo, they give it to EOD. However the method you have used (finding licensed people that want it) is far better imho.
