I was getting compressed loads with the 73gn ELD-M with 2208 at an OAL of 2.325 (chamber limited). Changing to 2206H fixed the compression problem and I'm getting 2900fps from my Browning. Murph?

The way I understand it, it depends on the cartridge volume/bore volume ratio. The greater the volume of the bore compared to the cartridge volume the less velocity you will loose per inch removed....

It's public land so no reason other people can't walk in (just like the Tahr blocks) but the reason they are doing this is because of the high deer numbers. Obviously not enough people are going in...
